
Short bio
Armand van Helden was born in 1970, in Boston, Massachusets (USA). His father is of Dutch-Indonesian and mother of French-Lebanese origin. He started DJ-ing at the age of 15.
His first official single was "Stay On My Mind" (Deep Creed mix) in early 90´s. It was followed by "Move It To the Left" and "Witch Doktor". The Professional Widow remix (1996, of Tori Amos) was the one that established him, becoming number one hit.
His first album "Old School Junkies" was released in 1996. His success grew with new albums and singles, like "U Don't Know Me" and "Koochy". Being popular in the 90´s, he remains popular after Y2K. In 2007 he released "NYC Beat" (from album "Ghettoblaster").
